This is the photo record of a rather manic evening I spent in Leverett House, spring of 99, during the assassin game. I was in disguise. I rode my bike in from my secret hideout at Durham Street and, on the way, passed my roommate Ed, also on his bike. He didn't recognize me. I said "Hey Ed!" just as we passed each other and he sort of swerved backwards trying to figure out who said it.

We eventually tracked enemy ace Matt Withers to his room in Leverett. These pictures were shot from the hip at a variety of angles by assassin official Tom Lotze, Matt's roommate and an associate of the opposing team, who was trying to figure out who I was. Some of them are of Chloe.

He finally got me. The disguise is that I usually wear glasses. Also I don't have long blond hair. It was extremely cunning.

Admittedly the effect was enhanced by the fact that most members of the other team had only met me once or twice.

Withers escaped after an hour or more of cat-and-mouse, but later this evening Chloe, Ben Dreyfus and I successfully ambushed Michael Gilbert outside Lamont Library (although he didn't notice at the time). While we were waiting in the lobby Susannah Mandel came and talked to Chloe for a couple of minutes before realizing who I was. Then my eye started to hurt.

The next day I traded the blonde wig to Molnar for a red one and used that to sneak into Currier House a couple of times. We still haven't managed to trade back yet.

Look: Game records. (We won.)
